Vehicle Profiles

Vehicle Profiles

Vehicle profiles let you save the details of each truck you drive. Truck Me uses your active profile to calculate routes on the correct NHVR-approved network.

Creating a Profile

  1. Go to Vehicle Profiles, tap the truck icon in settings or the bottom nav.
  2. Tap "Add Vehicle", start a new profile.
  3. Select combination type, choose from General Access, B-Double, Road Train (Type 1/2), PBS, or Over-dimensional.
  4. Enter vehicle details:
    • Name, give it a label (e.g. "Kenworth B-Double", "Volvo Road Train").
    • Registration, optional, for your records.
    • Dimensions, height, width, length (used for bridge clearance warnings).
    • Mass, gross vehicle mass and axle configuration.
  5. Save, the profile is now available for route planning.

Switching Profiles

Your active profile determines which road network Truck Me uses for routing. To switch:

  1. Open the route planner or tap the vehicle indicator on the home screen.
  2. Tap the vehicle name at the top.
  3. Select a different profile from the list.

Routes recalculate automatically when you switch vehicles, since different combination types have access to different road networks.

PBS Vehicles

Performance Based Standards vehicles have specific network access determined by their PBS approval. When creating a PBS profile:

  • Select PBS as the combination type.
  • Enter your PBS approval number if available.
  • Truck Me maps your vehicle to the correct PBS network segments.

Editing & Deleting

  • Edit, tap a profile to update any details. Changes take effect on the next route calculation.
  • Delete, swipe left on a profile or tap the delete option. You must keep at least one profile.

Tips

  • Create separate profiles for each truck you regularly drive.
  • Double-check your vehicle height, this is critical for bridge clearance warnings.
  • Keep dimensions and mass current, especially after modifications.
