Fuel Prices

Truck Me shows live fuel prices at stations along your route, sourced from official state government APIs. Find the cheapest diesel without detours.

How It Works

Fuel price data comes from free government feeds across all Australian states:

  • Queensland, QLD Government fuel price data
  • New South Wales, NSW FuelCheck
  • Victoria, VIC fuel price data
  • South Australia, SA fuel pricing
  • Western Australia, FuelWatch WA

Prices are updated regularly throughout the day as stations report new prices.

Viewing Fuel Prices

During route navigation:

  1. Tap the fuel icon in the map toolbar.
  2. See stations along your route, displayed as pins on the map with current diesel price.
  3. Filter by fuel type, diesel, AdBlue, or other fuel types.
  4. Sort by price or distance, find the cheapest option or the nearest station.

Station Details

Tap a fuel station marker to see:

  • Station name and brand, Shell, BP, Caltex, independent, etc.
  • Fuel prices, all available fuel types with per-litre pricing.
  • Last updated, when the price was last reported.
  • Distance from route, how far off your current route the station is.
  • Amenities, truck parking, rest facilities, food (where available).

Route Fuel Planner

For long-haul routes, Truck Me helps you plan fuel stops:

  • See all stations along your route in a list view, sorted by distance from origin.
  • Compare prices across your entire route to pick the best stop.
  • Estimated fuel needed, based on route distance (fuel consumption rate configurable in settings).

Configuration

Customise fuel display in Settings:

  • Default fuel type, set your preferred fuel (Diesel, Premium Diesel, AdBlue).
  • Price display, show/hide fuel prices on the map during navigation.
  • Price alerts, get notified when a station on your route has prices below a threshold.
  • Search radius, how far off-route to show fuel stations (1km, 5km, 10km).
