About Truck Me

Heavy vehicle routing
that actually works

Truck Me is an Australian heavy vehicle routing app powered by NHVR data. Select your truck type, B-Double, Road Train, PBS, and get routes on approved roads. Community incident reporting and route intelligence built in.

The problem

Australian heavy vehicle drivers navigate a complex network of approved roads that changes by vehicle type. The tools available today aren't good enough.

Wrong routes, real fines

Drivers get fined for using roads their truck isn't approved for. Generic GPS apps don't know the difference between a B-Double network and a Road Train network.

Bridge strikes happen

Competitor apps warn about low bridges after you've already committed to the road. Two-stage warnings, before the turn, not after the bridge, don't exist yet.

Facebook is the only intel

Road closures, floods, debris, police checks, drivers share this on Facebook trucking groups. Posts get buried. There's no real-time, map-pinned alternative.

Our approach

Three pillars that no competitor combines.

Direct from NHVR

We connect directly to the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator API. The same data source that defines which roads your truck can legally use. No third-party guesswork.

Community-first

Drivers are the best source of road intelligence. Truck Me gives them a structured way to share it, incidents, route quality, and access corrections.

Route intelligence

We don't just give you a route. We show you when the approved route is suboptimal, which segments cause detours, and whether a better approved path exists.

NHVR Partnership

Powered by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator

The NHVR maintains Australia's heavy vehicle road network data, which roads are approved for which vehicle types, what conditions apply, and what restrictions exist. Truck Me connects directly to the NHVR API to deliver this data to drivers in real time.

This means every route, every map overlay, and every access code comes straight from the regulator. No scraped data. No outdated databases. No guesswork.

Why not just use an existing app?

Existing heavy vehicle nav apps in Australia have well-documented problems. From hundreds of Play Store reviews:

  • Payment/login broken, drivers pay but can't access maps
  • App crashes and overheats phones within 5 minutes
  • Routes sent to wrong and restricted roads
  • Bridge warnings come after the hazard, not before
  • App loses state when backgrounded (switch to a phone call = lose your route)
  • Support channels that don't respond

Truck Me is built to fix every one of these problems. Flutter for native performance. Clean Stripe integration. Two-stage bridge warnings. Route state that persists across backgrounding. And support that actually responds.
